    Solution :

    Velocity of nucleus can be resolved into parallel and perpendicular components.
    Due to parallel component nucleus moves in direction of B and due to perpendicular component, it rotates in circular path.
    Radius of circular path, \[r=\frac{m{{v}_{\bot }}}{Bq}\]\[\Rightarrow \]\[r\propto m\]
    and pitch of helix, \[p=\frac{2\pi m}{Bq}\cdot {{v}_{||}}\]\[\Rightarrow \]\[p\propto m\]
    As, both isotopes have same charge q, heavier traces a path with larger radius and larger pitch.
