    Answer:

    (a) \[(x-2)\] may show the age of his younger sibling.
    \[(x+4)\] may show the age of his elder sibling  \[(3x+7)\] may show the age of his grandfather.                       
    (b) The expressions \[(y+7)\],  may \[\left( y+4\frac{1}{2} \right)\] may
    indicate sara?s future?s age, and \[(y-3)\left( y-2\frac{1}{2} \right)\]may indicate Sara?s past age.                                             
    (c) The expression 2 n may show the number of students who like hockey and the expression
    \[\frac{n}{2}\] may show the number of students who like cricket.
