    Let length \[=x\,\,\text{cm}\] and breadth \[=(x-2)\,\,\text{cm}\] So, \[2\,\,[x+(x-2)]=48\]\[\Rightarrow \]\[4x-4=48\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[x=\frac{52}{4}=13\] \[\therefore \] Length =13 cm and breadth =11 cm Here, area \[=l\times b=13\times 11=143\,\,\text{c}{{\text{m}}^{2}}\]
