  • question_answer
27 drops of water form a big drop of water. If the radius of each smaller drop is 0.2 cm, then what is the radius of the bigger drop?

    A) 0.4 cm

    B)  0.6 cm

    C)  0.8 cm

    D)  1.0 cm

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    By given condition, \[27\times \]Volume of smaller drops = Volume of bigger drop \[\therefore \]      \[27\times \frac{4}{3}\pi \,\,{{r}^{3}}=\frac{4}{3}\pi \,\,{{R}^{3}}\] \[\therefore \]      \[27\times {{(0.2)}^{3}}={{R}^{3}}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[{{(3\times 0.2)}^{3}}={{R}^{3}}\] \[\therefore \]                  \[R=0.6\,\,\text{cm}\]
