    Total production in \[1999=40+35+45+45\]         \[+\,40+50=255\] \[\therefore \] Average production in 1999 \[=\frac{255}{6}\] Total production in 2000 \[=45+45+40+55+55+40=280\] Average production in 2000 \[=\frac{280}{6}\] Average difference \[=\frac{280}{6}-\frac{255}{6}=\frac{25}{6}=4.17\]  (approx.)
