    As,        \[\sin x+{{\sin }^{2}}x=1\]                  ?(i) \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\sin x=1-{{\sin }^{2}}x={{\cos }^{2}}x\] \[\therefore \]      \[{{\cos }^{2}}x+{{\cos }^{4}}x=(\sin x)+{{\sin }^{2}}x\] \[=1\]                [from Eq. (i)]
