One side of a square, of which the perimeter is 112 m, is equal to the radius of a circle. Find out the area of the circle?

    A)  \[264\,\,{{\text{m}}^{2}}\]

    B)  \[1464\,\,{{\text{m}}^{2}}\]

    C)  \[2464\,\,{{\text{m}}^{2}}\]

    D)  \[4264\,\,{{\text{m}}^{2}}\]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    \[\therefore \]Perimeter of square = One side of square\[\times 4\] \[\therefore \]One side of square \[\text{=}\frac{\text{perimeter}\,\,\text{of}\,\text{square}}{\text{4}}\] \[=\frac{112}{4}=28\,\,\text{m}\] From question, radius of circle = 28 m So,       area of circle \[=\pi {{r}^{2}}=\frac{22}{7}\times 28\times 28=2462\,\,{{\text{m}}^{2}}\]
