    Solution :

    Let first number be x and second number y According to question \[\frac{40x}{100}+y=y+\frac{20y}{100}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{40x}{100}=\frac{20y}{100}\Rightarrow 2x=y\Rightarrow \frac{x}{y}=\frac{1}{2}\] \[x:y=1:2\]
