    Solution :

    If monthly salary is Rs. x, then Given,        10% of x=5.00 \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{10}{100}\times x=500\] \[\therefore \]      \[x=\frac{500\times 100}{10}\]= Rs. 5000
