    Solution :

    Let one of the positive numbers be x. \[\therefore \]The other will be = 4x Now,     \[4x\times x=2500\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[{{x}^{2}}=2500\div 4=625\] \[\therefore \]      \[x=\sqrt{625}=25\] \[\therefore \]Sum of the two numbers \[=5x=5\times 25=125\]
