       If \[(a-b)\]is 6 more than \[(c+d)\]and \[(a+b)\]is 3 less than \[(c-d),\]then value of \[(a-c)\]is

    A)  0.5

    B)  1.0

    C)  1.5

    D)  2.0

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    We have                               \[a-b=c+d+6\]                          ?(i) \[a+b+3=c-d\]                          ?(ii)                                 On adding Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get        \[2a+3=2c+6\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[2\,\,(a-c)=6-3=3\] \[\Rightarrow \]               \[a-c=\frac{3}{2}=1.5\]
