    A shopkeeper sells 150 m of cloths for Rs. 6600 and 300 m of cloths for Rs. 12750. How much discount the shopkeeper gives per metre cloths when he sells 300 m of cloths?

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    When sells 150 m for Rs. 6600, the rate per metre is \[\frac{6600}{150}\]= Rs.44 But when sells 300 m for = Rs. 12750, the rate per metre is \[\frac{12750}{300}\]= Rs. 42.5 So, the discount per metre = Rs. \[44-\]Rs. 42.5 = Rs. 1.5
