    Work done in 1 h by the filling pump\[=\frac{1}{2}\] Work done in 1 h by the leak and the filling pump \[=\frac{3}{7}\] \[\therefore \]      Work done by the leak in 1 h \[=\frac{1}{2}-\frac{3}{7}=\frac{7-6}{14}=\frac{1}{14}\] Hence, the leak can empty the tank in 14 h.
