    Let three consecutive even integers by \[2x,2x+2\]and\[2x+4,\] respectively. \[\therefore \]      \[2x+2x+2+2x+4=54\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[6x+6=54\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[6x=54-6=48\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=8\] \[\therefore \]The least even number\[=2\times 8=16\]
