    Solution :

    Suppose the consecutive even numbers are \[x-2,\]\[x,\]\[x+2,\]\[x+4\]and \[x+6\] Then sum of the numbers are \[(x-2)+x+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)=5\times 86\] or,        \[5x+10=430\] or,        \[5x=420\] \[\therefore \]      \[x=84\] So, the numbers are 82, 84, 86, 88 and 90 Now, product of the numbers X and Y \[=86\times 88=7568\]
