Mir Bakshi enjoued all the power of arz-i-Mamlik like:- (i) Recruitment of army; (ii) Maintenance of troops; (iii) Holding of military tests; (iv) Inspection of Horses; But Mir Bakshi enjoyed a bit more than arz-i-Mamlik enjoyed. His control was extended to other departments at so and his nearness with the emperor was more than that of Arzi-i-Mamlik.
