    B)  1 and 3 only

    C)  2 and 3 only

    D)  1, 2 and 3

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

[b] Raja Ram Mohan Roy stood for the defence of monotheism. Roy's monotheistic ideas were formed as early as 1804, when he published his Persian tract Tuhfat' ul muhwahhiddin (A Gift to Monotheists). Roy's study of the Upanishads had convinced him that Hinduism taught the existence of a single God, or Absolute Reality and that the development of the many deities, and of venerating their images, was a corruption of originally monotheistic Hinduism.
