[b] Trans Himalaya is created due to the collision with Eurasian plate. This Zone is the Northern most area in the country in the states of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. It is an extension of Tibetan plateau around the Himalayas. Greater Himalayas is the highest range of Himalaya. This range is separated from Lesser Himalaya by Main Central Thrust and lies north of it. World's highest peak Mount Everest and some other tallest peaks are in this range.
