The electric current flowing in a wire in the direction B to A is decreasing. What is the direction of induced current in the metallic loop kept above the wire as shown in figure?

    Answer:

According to right hand rule, the magnetic field on the loop is in a perpendicularly inwards direction to the plane of the loop also by Lenz?s law the induced current should oppose the decrease in flux, so it should also produce inward flux. Hence, the induced current flows in the clockwise direction.
