    A) Rs. 20000

    B) Rs. 18000

    C) Rs. 26000

    D) Rs. 24000

    E) None of these

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

Annual salary of Suresh = Rs. 108000
    \[\therefore \] Monthly salary \[=\frac{108000}{12}=Rs.\,9000\]
    Nandini's monthly salary = Rs. 18000
    According to the question,
    Kaushal's monthly salary \[\times \frac{12}{100}\]
    = Nandini's monthly salary \[\times \frac{16}{100}\]
                            \[K\times \frac{12}{100}=18000\times \frac{16}{100}\]
                \[\Rightarrow \]   \[K\times \frac{12}{100}=2880\]\[\Rightarrow \]\[K=\frac{2880\times 100}{12}\]
    \[\Rightarrow \]               \[K=Rs.\,24000\]
