A's income is 10% more than B's income. How much per cent is B's income less than A's income?

    A) \[8\frac{1}{11}\]%

    B) \[9\frac{1}{11}\]%

    C) \[10\frac{1}{11}\]%

    D) 12%

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

Let B’s income be Rs. x.
    Then, A’s income \[=x+\frac{10}{100}\times x=\frac{11x}{10}\]
    Required percentage \[=\,\,\frac{\left( \frac{11x}{10}-x \right)}{\frac{11x}{10}}\times 100\]
                \[=\,\,\frac{\frac{x}{10}}{\frac{11x}{10}}\times 100=\frac{100}{11}=9\frac{1}{11}\]%
