    C) 7

    D) Cannot be determined

    E) None of the above

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Let the number of Rs. 2 coins be \[x.\]
Then, number of Rs. 5 coins \[=x-5\]
    According to the question,
    \[2x+5\,\,(x-5)=50-26\]
    \[\Rightarrow \]               \[7x-25=24\]
    \[\Rightarrow \]               \[7x=49\]
    \[\therefore \]                  \[x=7\]
