    [a] Given \[x+y=36\]                  ... (i) And HCF and LCM of x and \[y=3\] and 105 i.e. \[xy=3\times 105\]                … (ii) Now, \[\frac{1}{x}+\frac{1}{y}=\frac{y+x}{xy}=\frac{36}{3\times 105}=\frac{4}{35}\] [from Eqs. (i) and (ii)]
