    Let the age of A be x years. Then B's age\[=x\times 1.44=1.44x\]years C's age \[1.44x\times 0.75=1.08x\]years Required % increase\[=\frac{1.08-x}{x}\times 100\] Alternate Method: \[\underset{100}{\mathop{A}}\,\xrightarrow{+44%}\underset{144}{\mathop{B}}\,\xrightarrow{-25%}\underset{108}{\mathop{C}}\,\] So, required answer\[=\frac{8}{100}\times 100=8%\]more
