    Let the age of Renu = x yr. and age Renu?s mother = y yr According to the question, \[(y-5)=3x(x-5)\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[y-5=3x-15\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[y-3x=-10\]                               ?(i) and       \[(y-5)=2(x+5)\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\,y+5=2x+10\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[y-2x=5\]                                 ?(ii) On solving Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get x = 15, y = 15yr             \[\therefore \] Renu?s present age = 15 yr
