    If the earth attracts an apple, does the apple also attract the earth? If so, why does the earth not move towards the apple?  

    Answer:

    Yes, the apple attracts the earth with the same force as the forces with which earth attracts the apple. But due to large mass of earth, the acceleration produced in it is negligible so unnoticeable. Thus, earth does not seem to move towards the apple.  (3)
