The angles in a triangle are in a ratio of 19 : 10 : 7. What is the sum of twice the smallest angle and the largest angle?

    A) \[{{165}^{o}}\]

    B) \[{{185}^{o}}\]

    C) \[{{155}^{o}}\]

    D) \[{{175}^{o}}\]

    E)  None of these

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

     Sum of the angles of a triangle \[=\text{ }180{}^\circ \] \[\therefore 19x+10x+7x=180{}^\circ \] \[\Rightarrow 36x=\text{ }180{}^\circ \] \[\Rightarrow x=\frac{180{}^\circ }{36}=5{}^\circ \] Required sum \[=\text{ }2\times 7x+19x\] \[=33x=33\times 5=\text{ }165{}^\circ \]
