    Solution :

    Let the number of students = x Percentage of girls in school = 30% \[\therefore \]      30% of x = 504 \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{30\times x}{100}=504\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=\frac{504\times 100}{30}=1680\] \[\therefore \] Number of boys in school             \[=1680-504=1176\]
