    Solution :

    According to the question, First number = a = 103 Last number = l = 998 \[\therefore \] If the number of such numbers be n, then,             \[998=103+(n-1)\times 5\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[(n-1)\times 5=998-103=895\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[n-1=\frac{895}{5}=179\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[n=180\] \[\therefore \]      \[S=\frac{n}{2}(a+l)\]             \[=\frac{180}{2}(103+998)\]             \[=90\times 1101=99090\]
