    A boy was asked to fine \[\frac{3}{5}\] of a fraction. Instead, he divided the fraction by \[\frac{3}{5}\] and got an answer which exceeded the correct answer by \[\frac{33}{75}.\] The correct answer is

    Solution :

    Let the fraction be x. According to the question,             \[=\frac{x}{3}-x\times \frac{3}{5}=\frac{32}{75}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{5x}{3}-\frac{3x}{5}=\frac{32}{75}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{25x-9x}{15}=\frac{32}{75}\]       \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{16}{15}=\frac{32}{75}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=\frac{32}{75}\times \frac{15}{16}=\frac{2}{5}\] Correct answer \[=\frac{2}{5}\times \frac{3}{5}\]                         \[=\frac{6}{25}\]
