The circumference of the base of a circular cylinder is 6n cm. The height of the cylinder is equal to the diameter of the base. How many litres of water cylinder can hold?

    A) \[54\,\pi \,cu\,cm\]

    B) \[36\,\pi \,cu\,cm\]

    C) \[6.054\,\pi \,cu\,cm\]

    D) \[6.54\,\pi \,cu\,cm~\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    Circumference of base \[=6\pi \] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[2\pi r=6\pi \] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[r=3\,cm\] \[\therefore \] Height of the cylinder \[=6\,cm\] \[\therefore \] Volume of cylinder \[=\pi {{r}^{2}}h\]             \[=\pi \times 3\times 3\times 6\]             \[=54\,\pi \,cu\,cm\]
