    Let x cm be the thickness of the bottom. \[\therefore \] \[(3-2\times 0.05)(2.6-2\times 0.05)\text{ (}1.1-x\text{) }=8\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[3.2\times 2.5\times (1.1-x)=8\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[1.1-x=1\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=0.1\,\text{m}=1\,\text{dm}\]
