    Solution :

    Let the age of Sushil \[=x\,yr\] and the age of his father \[=y\,yr\] \[\therefore \]      \[(y-2)=7(x-2)\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[y-7x=-12\]                               ?(i) And      \[x+y=36\]                                ?(ii) On solving Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get \[x=6,\] \[x=6,\text{ }y=30\] \[\therefore \] The age of Sushil's father \[=30\,yr\]
