    Solution :

    Let the monthly salary of the person \[=Rs.\,x\] By given condition, \[\frac{(100-30-25-20-12)}{100}=1040\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[x=\frac{1040\times 100}{13}=8000\] Hence, monthly salary of the person \[=Rs.\,8000\]
