If the 14th term of an arithmetic series is 6 and 6th term is 14, then what is the 95th term?

    A) \[-\,75\]

    B) 75

    C) 80

    D) \[-\,80\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    \[\because \] \[{{T}_{14}}=6\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[a+13d=6\]                           ?(i) and       \[{{T}_{6}}=14\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[a+5d=14~\]                          ?(ii) On solving Eqs. (i) and (ii), we get             \[a=19,\] \[d=-1\] \[\therefore \] \[{{T}_{95}}=a+94d=19-94=-\,75\]
