Select the one which is most appropriate.  A hostel for college students has 100 rooms. 20% have bathrooms and showers, 19% have bathrooms only and 50% have wash basins, 60% of the rooms are double while the rest are single. Which of the following argument can be absolutely true?

    A)  Some double rooms have bathrooms only

    B)  Some double rooms have wash basins

    C)  All the single rooms have bathrooms with showers

    D)  Some of the single rooms have bathrooms

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    As 600 rooms are double and 50 rooms have wash basins, therefore one can be certain that some double rooms have wash basins. \[100+50+400=550\]
