    Solution :

    CP of each article \[=Rs.\frac{P}{12}\] and \[SP=Rs.\frac{P}{8}\] Gain \[=\frac{P}{8}-\frac{P}{8}=\frac{3P-2P}{24}=\frac{P}{24}\] \[\therefore \] Gain per cent \[=\frac{\begin{matrix}    P  \\    24  \\ \end{matrix}}{\begin{matrix}    P  \\    12  \\ \end{matrix}}\times 100=50%\]
