  • question_answer
The perimeters of a circular field and a square field are equal. If the area of the square field is\[484{{m}^{2}}\], then the area of the circular field will be \[\left( \pi =\frac{22}{7} \right)\].

    A) 608 square m

    B) 616 square m

    C) 576 square m

    D) 660 square m

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    Let 4x be the perimeter of the square field. Its area \[=484~\Rightarrow {{x}^{2}}=484\] \[~\therefore x=22cm\] Perimeter of the circular field = 88 cm \[2\,\pi \,r\,\,=88\Rightarrow 2\times \frac{22}{7}\times r=88\] \[r=\frac{88\times 7}{2\times 22}=14\,cm\] Area of the circular field = \[\pi \,{{r}^{2}}\] =      \[\frac{22}{7}\times 14\times 14=\]
