In colour blindness, a person is unable to discriminate between red and green colours. Colour blindness is X-linked inheritance, X linked genes are present on the portion of the X- chromosome for which there is no homologous region on the Y- chromosome. This disease is caused by recessive alleles located on X- chromosome. Most of the males (XY- Sex chromosomes) suffer from this disorder and females (XX-Sex chromosome) p-re rarely affected. Females are only carrier of this disease.
