If fractions \[\frac{4}{5},\frac{6}{7},\frac{2}{9},\frac{9}{11}\] are \[\frac{3}{8}\]arranged in ascending order of their respective values. Which one fraction will be the fourth?

    A)  \[\frac{9}{11}\]

    B)  \[\frac{4}{5}\]

    C)  \[\frac{3}{8}\]

    D)  \[\frac{6}{7}\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

First reverse the order \[\frac{5}{4},\frac{7}{6},\frac{9}{2},\frac{11}{9},\frac{8}{3}=\frac{45}{36},\frac{42}{36},\frac{162}{36},\frac{44}{36},\frac{96}{36}\] \[\because \,\,\,\,\frac{42}{36}<\frac{44}{36}<\frac{45}{36}<\frac{96}{36}<\frac{162}{36}\] So, Required answer \[=\frac{36}{44}=\underline{\frac{\mathbf{9}}{\mathbf{11}}}\]
