     Let the length of the rectangle be \[x\] units and breadth be \[y\] units. \[\therefore \]Perimeter of rectangle \[=2(x+y)cm\] According to the question,             \[=\frac{x}{2x+2y}=\frac{5}{16}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{x}{x+y}=\frac{5}{8}\Rightarrow \frac{x+y}{x}=\frac{5}{8}\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{x}{x}+\frac{y}{x}=\frac{8}{5}\Rightarrow \frac{y}{x}=\frac{8}{5}-1\] \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{y}{x}=\frac{3}{5}\Rightarrow x:y=5:3\]
