     In Indirect speech of Interrogative Sentence, the structure of the sentence is as follows: Subject + ask + object + question - word + assertive clause. For example, I told my friend, ?Why are you sad?? (Direct) I asked my friend why he was sad. (Indirect). Hence, ?Where was the marriage hall? should be replaced with ?where the marriage hall was?.
