    If 40% of (A + B) = 60% of (A - B) then  \[\frac{2A-3B}{A+B}\]is

    A)  \[\frac{7}{6}\]

    B)  \[\frac{6}{7}\]

    C)  \[\frac{5}{6}\]

    D)         \[\frac{6}{5}\]

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

     \[(A+B)\times \frac{40}{100}\] \[=(A-B)\times \frac{60}{100}\]             \[\Rightarrow \]2(A+B) =3(A-B) \[\Rightarrow \]2A+2B=3A-3B \[\Rightarrow \]A=5B             \[\therefore \]\[\frac{2A-3B}{A+B}=\frac{10B-3B}{5B+B}=\frac{7B}{6B}=\frac{7}{6}\]
