    Solution :

     First discount \[=\frac{1600\times 10}{100}=\] Rs. 160 Price after it = 1600 - 160 = Rs. 1440 \[\therefore \] \[\frac{1440\times x}{100}\times 1440-1224=216\] \[\therefore \,\,x=\frac{216\times 100}{1440}=15%\]
