    Solution :

    Cycas belongs to gymnospemic group of plants. It contains largest ovules (compare to other plants). Ovule isortholropous (upright) type. It contains a thick integument which can be divided into three layer viz., 0uter fleshy, middle stony and inner fleshy layers. At the apex of ovule is present a pore called micropvle which opens into a micropylar chamber. Integument covers a mass of cells called nucenus which in the covers of the female gametophyte or endosperm. ndosperm contains two archegonia at the micropylar end.
