    Solution :

                     Let B alone can complete the work = x days \[\therefore \](A + B)'s 1 day work\[=\frac{1}{24}+\frac{1}{x}=\frac{1}{16}\] \[\Rightarrow \,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\,\frac{1}{x}=\frac{1}{16}-\frac{1}{24}=\frac{1}{48}\]                 Hence, B alone completes the work in 48 days.
