                    We know that the radius of the \[{{n}^{th}}\] orbit of a hydrogen like atom/ion is given by \[{{r}_{n}}={{n}^{2}}{{a}_{0}}\] where \[{{a}_{0}}\]= Bohr radius = radius of the ground state of the hydrogen atom \[\therefore \]  \[{{r}_{n}}\propto {{n}^{2}}\]
