    Solution :

    Cranium forms a protective covering around the brain. The cavity in which brain lies is called cranial cavity. The size of cranial cavity varies from 1450 cc to 1600 cc. A large opening called Foramen magnum is present in the cranium, it connects the brain to spinal cord. There are 8 bones occur in the human cranium. These are frontal-1, parietals-2, occipital-1, temporals-2, sphenoid -1, ethmoid-1. These bones are joined by immovable fibrous joints, called sutures.
