    A mature Funaria plant is looked like an upright, slendrical stem, which contains flat leaf like, green lateral expensions. Numerous rhizoid filaments arises from the base of slendrical stem. The antheridium and archegonium which are multicellular male and female structures, respectively developed on the tip of the leaf like structures, called antheridiophore (on which antheridia arise) and archegoniophore (on which archegonia arise).
