Spindle fibers of mitotic cell are made up of:

    A)  tubulin

    B)        actin

    C)        myosin

    D)        collagen

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

Spindle fibers are formed during cell division. These are made up of tubulin. Each tubulin molecule is made up of \[\alpha \] and \[\beta \]sub units. Tubulin molecules are attached head to tail and form a strand and 13 stramk aggregate to form a microtubule. These microtubules are attached to kinetochores of metaphase chromosomes and play an important role in the movement of chromosomes during subsequent stages of cd division.
